Temanggung – A total of 30 students from Diponegoro University, part of the KKN-T IDBU 21 UNDIP program, officially began their community service activities in Campuranom Village, Bansari District, Temanggung Regency. The activities commenced with a Welcoming Ceremony for the KKN-T IDBU 21 UNDIP Students at the Campuranom Village Hall on Monday, June 22, 2026.
The welcoming event took place from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM WIB and was attended by approximately 30 participants, including village officials, community leaders, religious figures, representatives from the Bansari District Government, and the residents of Campuranom Village. This event marked the beginning of the KKN-T IDBU 21 UNDIP program, which will run for 43 days, from June 20 to August 2, 2026.
The KKN-T IDBU 21 UNDIP team consists of students from various study programs across Diponegoro University. This multidisciplinary collaboration is the main strength in designing work programs that are not only based on community needs but also supported by scientific approaches from diverse fields.
During the event, the Field Supervisor, Ardy Wibowo, S.S.T., M.B.A. from Business Administration, FISIP UNDIP, outlined two main programs to be carried out by the KKN-T IDBU 21 UNDIP team: the preparation of a Village Masterplan and the development of a Village Innovation Portfolio.
The Village Masterplan will be developed through the identification of potentials, needs, and problems existing in Campuranom Village. The results of this mapping will serve as the basis for formulating more targeted, contextual village development program recommendations that align with the characteristics of the Campuranom community as an agrarian village on a mountain slope with strong agricultural potential.
The Village Masterplan is also directed to support village development based on regenerative, circular, and sustainable principles. The regenerative principle emphasizes the importance of restoring and improving the quality of village resources, particularly in agriculture, the environment, and local potential governance. The circular principle encourages more efficient resource utilization, waste reduction, and value addition from existing potentials. Meanwhile, the sustainable principle serves as the foundation to ensure that every designed program provides not only short-term benefits but also supports long-term community welfare and village resilience.
In addition to the masterplan, the KKN-T IDBU 21 UNDIP team will also develop a Village Innovation Portfolio as part of strengthening Campuranom Village towards becoming a regenerative, circular, and sustainable village. One of the innovations introduced is the development of a solar-powered pest trap. This tool is not merely a standard light trap but is equipped with several innovative features, including a smart sun tracker to enhance solar energy efficiency, an insect suction blower, and an Internet of Things (IoT) system to count trapped insects and integrate the data into mobile phones.
Beyond tool development, this program will also include education on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to help detect insect types and find information regarding appropriate treatments. Through this approach, technology is not only introduced as a tool but also as a learning medium for the community to support more adaptive, efficient, and data-driven agricultural management.
This program is guided by a multidisciplinary team of lecturers, including Ardy Wibowo, S.S.T., M.B.A. and Rendy Ega Pradhana, M.A.B. from Business Administration, FISIP UNDIP; Chaieydha Noer Afiefah, S.P., M.Sc. from Agroecotechnology, FPP UNDIP; and Alfia Putri Wulandari, S.T., M.T. from Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, UNDIP. The involvement of lecturers from various fields of science is expected to strengthen the integration of governance, agriculture, technology, energy, and community empowerment aspects.
“KKN-T IDBU 21 UNDIP in Campuranom Village is not only directed at implementing short-term work programs but also at building a foundation for village development in the coming years. Through the preparation of a village masterplan and the development of an innovation portfolio, we hope that Campuranom Village can become a collaborative space between the university, the village government, and the community in promoting regenerative, circular, and sustainable development,” said Ardy Wibowo, S.S.T., M.B.A., Field Supervisor of KKN-T IDBU 21 UNDIP.
The KKN-T IDBU 21 UNDIP program also relates to several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 2 Zero Hunger through support for sustainable agriculture, SDG 7 Affordable and Clean Energy through the use of solar energy, SDG 9 Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure through appropriate technology development, SDG 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities through village planning, SDG 12 Responsible Consumption and Production, SDG 13 Climate Action, and SDG 17 Partnerships for the Goals through collaboration between the university, government, and community.
The Campuranom Village Government and the Bansari District Government welcomed the presence of KKN-T IDBU 21 UNDIP students. The students’ presence is expected to support the optimal development of village potential, provide tangible benefits to the community, and leave a sustainable positive impact after the KKN activities are completed.

Through the collaboration between Diponegoro University, the Campuranom Village Government, the Bansari District Government, and the community, the KKN-T IDBU 21 UNDIP program is expected to serve as a means of implementing scientific knowledge in the community while positioning Campuranom Village as a pilot village oriented towards community welfare, village innovation, and sustainable development.
