BizCulture Global Initiative Promotes Culture-Based Global Learning and Sustainability

Semarang, May 11, 2026 – The Bizflare SDGs Student Group from the Business Administration Study Program at Diponegoro University successfully held the BizCulture Global Initiative program, featuring an activity titled Agroforestry Coffee Experience: From Forest to Cup – Tawangmangu, on Saturday, May 9, 2026. The event, which took place in the Tawangmangu area of Central Java, was part of an experiential learning initiative that integrates cultural values, education, sustainability, and international collaboration.

The activity involved both Indonesian and international students as the primary participants, aiming to introduce Indonesia’s natural, cultural, and local economic potential through hands-on learning experiences. During the program, participants were invited to visit the agroforestry area to observe the cultivation and processing of coffee grown under an agroforestry system, which holds significant economic value for the local community. The event also featured discussion and interaction sessions with locals regarding these sustainable business practices.

n addition, participants took part in a strawberry-picking agrotourism activity and explored the natural attractions at Kemuning Sky Hills to experience the region’s tourism and creative economy potential. Through this cross-cultural activity, both international and local students had the opportunity to build communication, exchange ideas, and understand culture on a global scale. This program is expected to raise participants’ awareness of environmental sustainability while developing international insights through an adaptive and collaborative learning experience.

As part of the efforts to support the internationalization and positioning of Diponegoro University towards becoming a World Class University (WCU), this activity also implements the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), SDG 15 (Life on Land), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). Beyond providing an educational experience for the participants, this program also contributes to media publication and strengthens Diponegoro University’s international branding through culture-based and sustainable collaborative activities.
