Hanoi, Vietnam – A lecturer of the Business Administration Study Program, Diponegoro University, Robetmi Jumpakita Pinem, S.AB., MBA., Ph.D., delivered an international guest lecture at VNU University of Economics and Business (VNU-UEB), Vietnam, on the theme “AI-Driven Innovation for SMEs: Driving Digital Transformation and Global Competitiveness.” This activity was part of an international academic series that brought together students and academics to discuss the latest developments in innovation, digital transformation, and business management.
In the lecture, Robetmi explained how Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become one of the strategic technologies capable of driving digital transformation for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). AI not only functions as an operational support technology but also serves as a tool to enhance business efficiency, understand customer behavior, accelerate product innovation processes, and strengthen company competitiveness in the global market.
In addition to discussing AI applications, the lecture also highlighted the importance of product innovation, market orientation, and Sustainable Competitive Advantage as key factors in improving business performance. Students were invited to understand how companies can integrate digital technology with business strategies to create added value and maintain competitive advantage amid the dynamics of the global market.
The lecture was conducted interactively with great enthusiasm from VNU-UEB students. The discussions covered AI implementation in the business world, challenges of digital transformation for MSMEs, and opportunities for research collaboration and innovation development between Indonesia and Vietnam.
This activity also strengthened international academic collaboration between Diponegoro University and VNU University of Economics and Business. Through the exchange of knowledge and international experience, it is hoped that closer collaboration in education, research, and community service will be established, particularly in the development of digital technology-based business innovation.
