The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Diponegoro, welcomed four international students who participated in a series of orientation activities for new students, namely Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus bagi Mahasiswa Baru (PKKMB) and Pendidikan Karakter (PENDIKAR), held from 10–14 August 2026.
The international students participating in the programs are Alissa Nikolenko from Germany, representing Hochschule Bochum; Du To Nga (Chloe) and Vo Thi My Dung from Vietnam, both from Ho Chi Minh University of Banking; and Shabanov Bogdan Igorevich from Russia, from Kazan Federal University. They are enrolled as new students in FISIP’s Business Administration Program and will begin their studies in the 2026/2027 academic year.
Participation in PKKMB and PENDIKAR plays an important role in supporting the students’ transition into the academic environment, campus culture, and student life at Universitas Diponegoro. Through these activities, new students are introduced to the university’s academic system, institutional values, campus facilities, student organizations, and character-building initiatives as part of their development as members of the academic community. The programs also provide opportunities for them to build connections with fellow new students while adapting to the social and cultural environment in Indonesia.
The presence of students from different countries further strengthens the international dimension of the academic environment at FISIP. Interaction between Indonesian and international students is expected to enrich the learning experience, broaden cross-cultural perspectives, and contribute to a more inclusive and globally oriented academic community.
The participation of international students in the 2026 orientation programs also reflects FISIP Undip’s commitment to advancing the internationalization of higher education and fostering an academic environment that encourages cross-cultural collaboration, inclusivity, and global engagement.
